When I first started teaching more than 2 years ago, I doubted that I can carry the responsibility. Coupled with the very high expectation of parents, I became very nervous. But I still wanted to do it because I love teaching. Especially teaching the subject that I enjoy – Math. So I went ahead.
Yesterday was my last day teaching a class in Bangi. I have been teaching this class since November 2017. It’s a mixed class with several grades. Since it’s rather small, I can afford to do that. One of the students has sat for the IGCSE Add Math paper last October and it’s these kids’ turn to take the paper this year.
It was an enjoyable journey. They learnt and I learnt. We shared stories and I shared my experiences being a PhD candidate. They always enjoyed the stories about my supervisor and the “tazkirah” that he always gave me 😊.
Will cherish these moments. May they be successful in their study, in their career and in life.
