A Reminder to Self

As much as my heart desires, I shall not burden my husband with things that I know he cannot afford.

You did it, Adik! =)

The wait is finally over.  On the 14th of November, she got her UPSR results.  She was so nervous.  I was so nervous.  All of us were nervous.  Students were called up the stage one by one, from no As to all As (which all of us parents hated and complained).  I was on the verge of tears when the teacher announced all the students who got 4As.  I was praying very hard for her name not to be called out.  When the last student who got 4As was called, I cried.  I hugged my mother who was seated next to me and I repeatedly thanked the Almighty.  She got her well-deserved 5As.  Early this year, she got her UPKK results (which she sat last year) – 8As and on the 7th of November, she got her UPSRA results – 7As.  In other words, she got straight As for all her big exams in both SK and SRA.  Alhamdulillah!!

Before I go on, just a note – I need to blog this, for my own reading pleasures for years to come.  Some of my friends posted their children’s successes and achievements on Facebook.  At times, I do feel like doing the same.  But I decided not to because I do not want to be seen as bragging or being too proud of my kids.  So I decided to blog instead.  This blog is not as “visible” as my Wall on Facebook.  😉

Anyway, praise to the Almighty, my 2nd child has proven that she can do it, just like her brothers and sisters.  And what makes me even happier is that she was also awarded the Best Female Student 2013 by Sekolah Rendah Agama TTDI.  In 2011, my eldest son, got the same award for the male category.  =)  And she also got the Sahsiah Terbaik award and best student in the subject Pemahaman from SKTTDI (1).  Alhamdulillah!  =)

(note to myself – there are some photos in the mailbox)

Now, the celebration is over.  I shall continue to pray for her success in her studies and in her life, here.. and in the hereafter.  My prayers will forever be with you, adik.
